My daughter Risako has loved dancing since she was 3 years old  but her true passion was ignited after joining Island Dance. She enjoyed dancing so much that she tried different styles while continuing Hip Hop during our stay in Hong Kong. After moving to Singapore in 2019, we still asked for some private online classes because she loved how attentive the teachers were to details and at the same time, very enthusiastic online just like in the studio. Risako now dances K-POP elite and Hip Hop in Singapore and we truly appreciate how Island Dance built Risako’s foundation and helped ignite her love for dance, giving her a boost in her confidence as well. Our daughter Lisa’s love for dance has continued to grow ever since she started at Island Dance in their Freestyle dance class 4 years ago, at age 6. Island Dance has played an important part in our daughter’s life since then, and her confidence continues to excel, as well as her passion for dance. As parents, we are incredibly impressed by all the teachers’ commitment to consistency and making sure that the students look and feel their best at all times regardless of their age. Our daughter has had classes with two of the teachers and the standard always remains exceptionally high. I have two daughters that have danced with Island Dance since 2010 and I can’t say enough wonderful things about their experience! They’ve enjoyed Freestyle, Tap, Hip Hop and Showteam and created memories that will last their entire lives. Island Dance is more than just dance classes to my girls; it’s given them the opportunity to perform at annual shows, AIA carnival, with Ocean Park in the Chinese New Year Parade, and at Standard Chartered Arts in the Park to name a few! They’ve had the chance to participate in flash mobs, dance at charity events as well as study to study for and obtain their ISTD Student Teacher qualification. They love dancing with Island Dance and have been given skills and training that will carry on with them throughout their lives.

Island Dance is an institution where young dancers can flourish and grow into confident, well rounded young adults. The instructors and staff, through different mediums of dance, teach their students confidence, motivation and positive self-awareness and expression. My daughter, Laura, has grown up with Island Dance and currently takes four disciplines of dance. My daughter Nicole has been dancing with Island Dance for 6 years now, since she was 5 years old. Island Dance is like a big family to her – the teachers all teach with passion and patience, which has nurtured Nicole’s love of dance over the years. Nicole started taking Freestyle classes with Island Dance and now she is taking 3 other classes! Their annual dance show and other performances throughout the years have certainly been highlights for Nicole. She has been growing with, and will definitely continue to grow up with Island Dance.
